About Me

"If I hadn't started painting, I would've raised chickens." - Grandma Moses

this is a small box to fit all the things about me but here's a fair attempt: Most importantly, i love a good meal (both cooking and eating). I believe food provides a universal language for love, and i am a happy participant in all things culinary. I love to dance, whether it be to a saturday night dj or the beat of my own drum, and encourage dance parties in any and all possible situations. I make documentaries for a living, and feel it is the best way to expose myself to the potentials of our world. i love contemplating life with new friends and want to know as many varied people as possible.

Life loves the liver of it.
Maya Angelou

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

lazily, unfortunately. But am looking to become a more astute advocate for couches of the world.

I love my couchsurfing friends!

dancing in fields, contemplating good cheese pairs with whiskey, talking bike days around the world, accepting poultry bribes, waxing fellini, and eating pork products whether smoked, cured, pickled, or primed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

the depths of Silfra
my grandfather's gravestone at the top of a mountain in Japan
salting my pants in an andalucian coffee shop
waiting for the wind to die at the bottom of an icelandic volcano
watching the sun never set from a hot spring on an icelandic cliff

Teach, Learn, Share

a poem begins with a lump in the throat....
