My husband Josh and I are pretty introverted, sort of nerdy, video-gaming types. We're both of above-average intelligence and morality, and are hoping to find others who are the same (although the occasional good old-fashioned stupid fun also welcome!). We do not smoke or do drugs (including weed) and drink only sporadically. We're not prudes, just not into the whole "partying/drunk/high" scene. A night in watching Netflix and playing games, or driving around town seeing what there is to do, or even heading to Orlando to go to a theme park, is much more our style. We love to travel and see new places. We're both animal lovers and have a house full of pets, and we enjoy the outdoors and nature's beauty very much (even if we don't go explore it often enough).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have been loners for quite a while, so we tend to stick to ourselves and don't really have friends- that's why we're here, we'd like to change that a bit! It's not that we are antisocial, it's just that so many people in the world are not worth our time (harsh? Maybe. True? Probably). We're hoping to meet some good people who also want to expand their horizons and have a good, sane, clean time. We once hosted a friend we met online fora month-long visit from Scotland, and it was a wonderful experience. We'd love to make some friends from all over the world, and exchange stories, languages, and cultures with people from different walks of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like anything fantasy, my husband tends toward drama and/or psychological horror. We both like the Harry Potter series, Game of Thrones, action movies of all kinds, and the occasional anime series. I am a voracious reader of high fantasy, especially young adult series.

Musically, I am inclined toward "beautiful" music- classical, choir, Broadway, vocal (Enya, Josh Groban, Celtic Woman, that sort of thing) but I do listen to pop stations sometimes. Josh likes country, and a bit of rock and R&B. We both like classic rock and 90s music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a muleback ride to the base of the dome of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, CA- then hiked the trail to the top and let my feet dangle over 8000+ feet of nothingness.
