About Me

Hi there! I’m Krystal — a Chinese girl who’s currently traveling with my cousin on a challenge:
🌍 Zero-budget journey across Asia, Europe, and Africa.
We started from China and are slowly making our way through Russia → Georgia → Turkey → Egypt — with backpacks, shared meals, and a lot of good luck.
I studied business in the U.S. and now take time off to explore the world and document our journey on Chinese platforms like TikTok and Xiaohongshu. My cousin and I both love learning about new cultures, meeting locals, and figuring out how far we can go with curiosity, kindness, and creativity, instead of money.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m currently traveling across Asia, Europe, and Africa with my cousin, and Couchsurfing allows us to meet kind locals, learn about cultures in a more personal way, and stay on the road while keeping our budget super low.
We’re not just here to find a place to sleep — we genuinely enjoy hearing real stories, helping out where we can, and making real human connections beyond tourist paths.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach:
1. How to make simple but tasty Chinese dishes (like tomato & egg noodles 🍅🥚)
2. Basics of short video creation (scripting, filming, editing for Douyin/Xiaohongshu)
3. Everyday Chinese phrases and culture tips

I’d love to learn:
1. Local customs, food, and personal stories
2. Basic phrases in your native language
3. How people in your country think about life, family, love, or work
4. Any tips for traveling smarter and deeper

I’d love to share:
1. Honest travel stories (both good and funny disasters)
2. Cultural differences between China, the U.S., and the places we visit
3. Snacks from our hometown (yes, we brought some!)
4. A clean space, a helping hand, and good energy
5. And of course — deep talks if you’re into that, or just quiet company if you’re not

What I Can Share with Hosts

1. A respectful, clean, and quiet presence — we're easy guests and always grateful
2. Simple home-style Chinese food (we can cook tomato egg noodles or spicy fried rice!)
3. Interesting stories from our journey and life
4. Help with cleaning, organizing, or carrying groceries — whatever you need
5. Language exchange — I can teach you Chinese, and would love to learn a bit of yours
6. Short video tips — if you’re curious about how TikTok works, I can show you
