ABOUT ME

I'm just a country boy from a small town in Ontario, Canada. I like the simple life, and try my best to take pleasure and contentment from the present moment that I am existing in right now, always learning and always exploring. I love wide open and spaces and the peace and solitude of being in the outdoors. I never take life at face-value, but always assume "the norm" is actually someone trying to trick me. I'm always trying to find a new and creative way to do things.

PHILOSOPHY

To be satisfied and content with where I am in each moment, whether bad or good. To let the world control me less, to invest more into relationships and less into cheap entertainment.

Interests

I love spending time with friends and getting to know new people. In the evenings, I prefer a good book over the TV. If I do watch TV, it's usually a documentary. I like history and am always trying to improve my collection of Canadian stamps. I love learning new things and am currently trying to add another musical instrument and to my repertoire and improve a foreign language.

I find water fascinating, be it a waterfall, river, beach or hot shower. When I hear the splash of water I find myself irresistibly drawn. There is nothing better than heading across a perfectly still lake at dawn in a canoe. Or sitting down to rest beside a newly-discovered bubbling creek when I'm out with my snowshoes. These are the moments with which I am completely content and yet at the same time, thirsting to explore somewhere new.

Had the opportunity to give a poor little boy on the street some money to buy ice cream :) Doesn't happen in Canada too often
