Hello,
I'm Russian, have been living in the USA for 10 years, 7.5 of them spent in Brooklyn, NYC. Moved to Columbus Ohio to lower cost of living. And as I have a car now, decided to travel more withing the country. So far I traveled all over Cali, been to Chicago, Boston, Miami, Vegas, Indy, spent 2017 New Years in Maryland and West Virginia. In plans are also visits to Israel and Morocco.
I knew about couchsurfing before but somehow decided to join only now when I moved from NYC where I would have had more opportunities to host and meet up. Looking forward to interesting trips and meeting new people.

No strong preference in music, can listen to almost anything. Usually listen to Pandora mixes or online radios. If I like a song, would listen to it till I get sick of it.

I become more and more picky about the movies, don't go to the movies to watch new ones because they are not worth it. Use Amazon Prime to watch and to pay for what is really good. 10 years ago I would name my favorite movies but now I can't, there is just nothing special out there to call favorite. I am more into TV series now - Game of Thrones, Homeland, The Wire (old one), The Americans, Mr.Robot and many many others.

I admit with all the social media influence can hardly find time to read, but I've read a lot before. Russian classical literature (Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Chekhov, etc), European literature , American classics and modern writers-journalists( my last two books were "Tokyo Vice" and "Homicide"). But still will prefer classical literature to modern.

May be it won't seem amazing to some but I survived through 15-hour non-stop flight in a tiny seat of China Airways from NYC to Osaka, Japan))

I love to attend different events from opera and symphony concerts to rock music shows, from market sales to art performances. As I've been by myself for many years , I know how great it is to have a good company// people of the same interest to go to different events not limited to the above mentioned. I can also take a 1001 picture of you for your Instagram account because I know how hard it is to choose just one good))
