I had an experience staying at a couch surfer's place in Dunedin, while traveling around New Zealand. It was great!

music: a lot of oldies like the Smiths,the Kinks,the Velvet Underground, the Runaways and more. Plus le Tigre, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Uh huh her, Peaches for fun. Nice things like Death Cab for a cutie, the National. The Hives, the Libertines. I can go on for a looong time.

Fell in love with a friend, the best guy ever, and moved from Moscow to the best city in the world - Saint Petersburg - to be with him.

OK, second amazing thing (if you don't mind) - getting a job at expedition cruise for one season, sailing around Kamchatka and Chukotka up beyond the Arctic Circle, watching polar bears, whales and northern lights. Unforgettable experience that would be hard to beat.
