Hi there,

My name is Ksenia and I originally come from Siberia.
Despite the fact (or maybe precisely because of it) that it is one of the most faraway and isolated regions, I've always been fascinated by the world outside of it: be it through books in my teenage years or through traveling later on.
I have since been able to spend some time studying and working in the USA and China and I moved to Germany recently. My experiences abroad confirmed my suspicions on how diverse and how complex our world is, and I'm eager to continue learning about it.

I am also an passionate reader (fiction, non-fiction, memoirs) and I really enjoy having conversations with people that know more than I do - on any topic.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I come from a large family with 4 siblings who have always been equally excited about the idea of Couchsurfing.
In our house back in Novosibirsk, Siberia we used to host a lot of people who were passing through the city as they were doing the Trans-Siberian route.
It was a great and very enriching experience and I would like to carry on with it.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have taught in a classroom of 40 Chinese school students.
I took a 4 days train journey across half of Russia and the Ukraine (and eventually was forced out of it in the middle of the night - but that's another story :)

Also, some of the most amazing things that I've experienced wouldn't sound very spectacular on the outside, but they were quite breathtaking on the inside.
They often appeared in a form of reading a book that spoke to me, or having an engaging conversation and laughing with a friend, etc.
