Overview
About Me
I'm a student who's passionate about learning something new every day. What excites me the most are languages and cultures, that's why I'm studying applied linguistics at the university. I grew up in Ukraine, but I went on a cultural exchange to the United States when I was 16 and I spent one year over there. It was my first real travel experience that made me fall in love with travelling and understanding people with different view on life. After that I moved to Belgium, where I had to face a new culture again. But it's not enough for me, I really want to continue and explore this crazy world :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is still new for me, but I already love the concept of getting to know the locals, exchanging ideas with people who speak other languages. That's a totally different experience, it's not like booking a hostel and going to the most obvious places. For me, couchsurfing is a way to see the culture from the inside and not to read about it in a travel guide.

Music, Movies, and Books
Songs from the early 2000's are my real guilty pleasure :) I also love French touch, indie music and pop.
As for movies, I can talk hours about my favorite ones: Frances Ha, La Pianiste, Lost in Translation, Pulp Fiction... And the list goes on!
I'm also a book worm. I'm in love with Nabokov, John Fowles and Umberto Eco.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my experience with different cultures and bring some tasty Belgian waffles :)
