About Me
Hey everybody! My name is Kseniya and I'm from Yekaterinburg (Russia). I like reading books, sports (I do fitness, pilates and stretching), learning foreign languages (sometimes work as a tutor or translator). I can speak four languages and teach you a little bit of the Russian language, if you want :)
When I was 19 years old I came abroad for the first time in my life - it was a study exchange in Brno (CR) where I stayed during half an year. It was cool :)
I like walking - I can walk about 50 km a day. It's especially good in places I visit for the first time. But I can't ride a bicycle - so there's always something new to learn in this life :)
I also love mountains (I climbed two mountains 2741 and 3900 meters high and that was quite a challenging experience) and my cat Felix :)
A little bit metalhead.
My greatest passion is traveling. I wish I could travel more than I do now - and I hope one day this dream will come true.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As for me, traveling is not about putting stamps into your traveler's pass. Traveling is the way to discover yourself (and sometimes to understand how strong you are) and the world which is really amazing. When I'm in my homecity I always try to help people who have different problems with orienting within it. I think - if I help someone today, someday somewhere in Yerevan or Berlin I get help too. This is how it works, to my mind.
So traveling is not only about taking, it is also about giving - and it's incredibly great that we can help each other in various situations.
Interests
"On the road" is the one place where I feel absolutely happy. You move somewhere - it means that you're alive. And at the end there will be something - something great and amazing which will happen to me. Traveling helps us to discover ourselves but, unfortunately, not everyone understands it. So after every trip I open my blog and describe my adventures in Armenia, Kamchatcka or some other places. I think such blogs and stories help other people no to be afraid of traveling and try it. Hope it didn't disappoint them at least :)
