My current mission is to earn a PhD degree on human geography

ABOUT ME

Originally I'm from North Eastern Siberia, which is basically the coldest inhabited region in the world with -60 C in winter, though summers are extremely hot, +40 or so, so my homeland can be considered as an area with the seasonal temperature ratio of 100 C. Currently I am doing a PhD at University of Zurich on human geography. I'm interested in climate change and its impacts on the livelihoods of the Arctic indigenous people. My passion is travelling! I would like to travel to as many countries as possible! Currently I have a fixed idea to travel to all European capitals while I'm in Switzerland. And couchsurfing hopefully will help me to do so! I am so much obsessed with the art museums, especially modern art. Every city I visit the modern museum is one of the first spots to go. I really like cooking and especially experimenting with different cuisines, like Japanese sushi, Chinese sweet and sour chicken, or Italian pasta.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I don't have my own apartment to host guests, but I can show Zurich or nearby places. I am very open to attend weekly CS meetings wherever I go or here in Zurich.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couchsurfed a lot. I never hosted people since I had no own apartment. However I met many interesting couchsurfers all around the world at CS meetings or parties, or mutual travels. It's a great platform for globe trotters!

兴趣

My major interest now is global change and its impact on biodiversity and the livelihoods of the indigenous communities of the Siberian Arctic. Hopefully I will contribute something useful to our society! I am also very much interested in foreign languages, and as my supervisor said recently I am "language nerd". I think it's great to speak many languages and communicate with others in their native language. Other interests of mine are: traveling, modern art, indie music, instagram, free walking tours, pubcrawling, politics, etcetcetc

音乐、电影和书籍

I very much like indie and ethnic music, and sometimes it's really nice to listen to soul. I am so into drama movies with a deep story that touch you and make you think about our lives meaning. From books I prefer something about travels, or personal dramas. I think these kind of books help you to avoid such situations in the future.
