Hello Couchsurfers!
I'm Julian, a 25-year-old image consultant. I'm an Indian but the last few years of my life I've spent around the world. I've lived in different countries as I tell myself to seize every opportunity to go live abroad for some time.
(Now I am coming home and looking forward to meeting fellow couchsurfers like me.)
That's how I learned to truly appreciate hospitality and secondly, meeting people from all over the world. And that's why I'm on couch surfing. Meet, give, share the true way to travel, getting to know the world as it is! Looking forward to meeting you!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

CS for me is about hosting and surfing - I host travellers as well as helping people out who just moved to Berlin to study or work - i surf as much as possible when I'm abroad.

CS shouldn't be used as a replacement for friendships (though a lot of new ones developed through CS while hosting/surfing), so I'm not interested in gatherings and events outside of the hosting situation. i'm rather interested in the 1-on-1 talk, getting to know your culture, letting you know mine, and tie a new friendship if we are on the same wavelength. also - if time and space allow it - i started recently to host more than 1 surfer at the same time in order to bring people of different nationalities together to explore the city together. in my new flat in Berlin we usually have bigger gatherings together on the balcony, eating, drinking, chatting together on my lovely balcony. little bit like a small family - you'll enjoy it, you'll see...
So, i'm on here for 8 years now, hosting on/off. I can tell you about my/the history of CS, which recently has changed a lot, organizational/economical wise, aswell as the community and people who are attracted by it.

All you girls know what i mean by just saying the words "creeps", "codeword nudity/massage" and all the hosts know what i mean by just saying the word "freeloaders galore", currently my biggest problem with this community here. I will give you tons of stories, if you like - also, please have a look into my couch/home section concerning that.

Techno (after all I live in Berlin) and jazz! But: always open and happy to learn about other music genres!
I love going to the cinema, I am a fan of art-house films and independent movies, so film festivals are the place to be for me :)
Unfortunately, I haven't got enough time to read all the books I want to read... but who does, right? All I can say is: I'm interested in contemporary and 20th-century literature.

The best thing i can probably say about me is, that i'm quiet an empathic person. a good listener if needed.
people like to relax at my place - it can easily happen that we both live on another time zone when you are here - so don't be a haunted, rushing tourist when you come here, and instead appreciate the time we spent together.
I share with you the answer for my question in the couch section here - let's unravel the mystery! answer: none of the 3. in fact they will make me decline you most likely, sorry to say. try being more creative and natural in your request.
you can explore my knowledge - about movies, psychology or german history/mentality f.e. - if you are interested, but i won't force it on to you, don't worry.
