About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am a recent college grad from the States. Postponing my career search with a trip to Europe! I'm using all of my savings and just jumping right in! I'm a little nervous for my first solo trip, but also very excited and ready for it!

ABOUT ME

I had my first out-of-country experience last summer. I have traveled all over the States, but was ready for more! I traveled around Central American for two months with my boyfriend, experiencing some really eye-opening, amazing times. I had the time of my life! Since then, I've had the travel bug, bad. I'm going to Europe for five weeks starting late March and can't tell you how excited I am!!

PHILOSOPHY

I am a compassionate, loving, interesting and fun person--at least that's who I hope to be! I live my life for God, my family and those close to me. Although I don't know "what I want to be when I grow up", I know that I want it to be a job in which I help people. I really love working with/bettering the lives of the disadvantaged population.

My newest personal statement, "You do what you can or you end up doing nothing."

Interests

Reading, spending time with my family and friends, watching movies, road biking, learning, casual drinking, new experiences...oh, and did I mention TRAVELING?!

  • drinking
  • flying
  • movies
  • reading
  • traveling
  • cycling
  • tourism

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all types of movies, music and books! To name a few of my favorite bands I would have to say...Dave Matthews Band, Atmosphere, Kings of Leon, Pinback, Modest Mouse, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin...and the list goes on.

As for books, I'm working on the classics right now and I'll watch and like just about any movie!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most exhilarating thing I have ever done is zip-lined superman style through a tropical rainforest during a rainstorm. I literally felt like I was flying. The 300ft drop-swing before that wasn't boring either.

Teach, Learn, Share

If I've learned anything in my life it's to live for the day, not for your future and not for your past. Make the best of every situation--even if you find yourself soaking wet in a rainforest in pitch black darkness supposedly searching for sea turtles with a guide who is a half a mile ahead of an angry, frustrated group of people from all over the world, like I experienced last summer in Panama.

I am anxious for advice and ready for my next adventure!
