About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy life to the fullest! My husband and I want to travel to as many countries as we can and learn about many different cultures. We are intrigued by food, customs, and clothing from around the world. We enjoy exploring new places, sharing beers with new people, and laughing at our own silly lives.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am planning a trip to Eastern Europe and I would love to learn about the countries I visit from the locals. It is a very rich experience to be able to talk to someone who has lived in that particular area and Couch Surfing is such a great way to do that.
Also, since I am a teacher, I don't have much money so Couch Surfing is a great way to see more of the world and save some money.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I will listen to whatever. My husband is more interested in music. He collects records of American Greats, Hip Hop Artists, Alternative, and an eclectic mix.

Movies: We live near Hollywood, California so we feel like we know a lot about movie culture. We love comedies, well-made cartoons, some historical movies and the like. We see many movie stars in our area and we would love to tell you our star sighting stories!

Books: I most read foodie fiction books, but in the summertime, I read all kinds of books: mysteries, fiction, non-fiction, biographies, financial planning books, books about teaching and the brain, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught English in South Korea which was a very amazing experience. I knew nothing about Korea and decided to just go for it. It was a year of learning a new culture, trying new foods, learning Korean, and meeting so many great friends! It was quite lonely, but I am glad that I had that life experience.
