About Me

CURRENT MISSION

In my late 30s, the challenge is to keep travelling as I used to do in younger days

ABOUT ME

From a small town of India and struggled through the initial years of life to achieve things which were 'material'. To some extent succeeded in doing so until I found out with some great friends that life has never been only about money, work and status. My inhibitions came out pretty much sharp in my late 20s and the life turned around significantly with all my amazing travels for next 8-9 years until Covid hit in 2020. I think up until 2019, I have done a fair bit of travelling across India and few other countries. All of it came to a screeching halt in 2020 and 2021 just like everybody's else. Its now time to rejuvenate and relive all those memories through new sojourns.

The learning had been immense especially through Couschsurfing, made some great friends and stories and that is what tempts me to take my backpack and do it over and over again. I am married since past 7 years and doing reasonably well in my work. I definitely do not need to use couchsurfing to save money. I dont need to do that anymore unlike my younger days. I am here only for the temptation of having a glimpse of life in your city through you. Such learning have always been special and it is still close to my heart.

I think I Iook geeky and old but we will have fun.

PHILOSOPHY

I have lived almost half of my life and taking out time for myself seems to be the most important part so that when I look back to the places I have been, people I have met, it would bring a smiles over and over:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

There is always a story that needs to be told and heard, food that needs to be cooked and shared, moments that can be cherished forever...I have mine and you have yours...let's tell and hear them...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amazing...marvellous...being hosted by young energetic schoolgoers, professionals or also by a 58 year man (that was one of the best experience) who made me have a great time with him...i would be lucky to say that there were no surfing experiences which is supposed to be forgotten...

not to forget my surfers...there were few amazing ones too and spending time with them was fun too...however, there were few surfers which were easliy forgettable (but only few )

Interests

Big-time movieaholic, a occasional and limited guitar player, books, hanging out & drinking with close knit friends, a big time foodie..

Music, Movies, and Books

my love for movies varies a lot...i could end up watching movies of different genre and like all of them. Some great movies i have seen would be - A separation, 300, The departed, The Godfather, The hangover, Lord of rings, how to train your dragon and on and on and on.

i have a great fascination for guitar and have learnt to play it a bit. most of the music i carry would be acoustic guitar based.

Books for me are a matter of choice. It could be a book about anything but should get along with me pretty well. Sapiens is what I am reading now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen mountain ranges changing colours during sunset in Nagarkot, Nepal; Drinking Cobra Blood in Indonesia...watched a live volcano from the top;drove 600kms with a old lady who was very fond of makeups, who used to wave her hands outside the window while driving the car at 180km/hr and who spoke only Spanish ...getting drunk in Barcelona with Swedish hostel mate and waking up to see him with fractured legs...Seen Bhutan...Driving in the wilderness of Northern Territory in Oz...Russian Sauna in a far countryside in Russia with other guys who were all completely naked...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to cook the most simplest Indian meals. I can offer my Indian spices ( which I always carry while travelling) if are motivated to try your hands in Indian food.

I can learn a bit of music from you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We have fairly big apartment for us. So, when you surf with me, you can have one separate room for yourself. You will have access to everything when you are at my place including a car, motorbike or bicycle provided you know how to drive them. Time is limited. We will have only weekends to share with you. So, if you arrive on a weekday, chances are you will see very less of us.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bhutan, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Malaysia, Namibia, Nepal, Netherlands, Romania, Russian Federation, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Viet Nam
