Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I came across this community through a friend, and was really impressed by the concept. I have traveled to so many places and realized that interaction with locals is the soul of entire travel experience. And what can be a better way to meet likeminded people and get to know about their cultures.

But as luck would have it, due to the nature of Visa requirements for Indian citizens I have hardly been able to get a real Couchsurfing yet. Looking forward to meet some really cool people this time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have got lot of music on my playlist but most of it is either slow country music or peppy bollywood numbers.
I love reading, specially books related to biographies, philosophy, psychology, body language, culture and am a big fan of Harry Potter series, Dan Brown, Arthur Conan Doyle,Paulo Koelho, Khaled Hossini.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The world is full of wonderful places! I can not limit myself to one thing. Hiking in the Himalayas,10 days at a glacier, scaling a 18000 ft high peak, Diving with whale sharks, camping with howling foxes near lake Abbe in Djibouti,Swimming 10 kms in a river,Sky diving from an aircraft at 13000 ft in pitch dark night, a 100 nautical miles sailing in the stormy monsoon seas on a small boat, are some of the most breathtaking experiences we have ever had..

About learning-I think every day of our lives is a learning moment in itself .I would like to have a go at anything that life offers.

Teach and share- I did pick up some Palmistry during one of my encounters with a Sadhu in India and got pretty good with it(atleast that's what I think), so maybe I can offer you a free Palm reading session, if you're interested and teach you a thing or two about it..yes it is a fun science that may not tell your fortune exactly but really helps you know yourself and others a little better..

What I Can Share with Hosts

Maybe cook some Indian food, Lots of stories, anything with which I can be of help and I don't mind lending a hand towards the daily chores too.
