Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I first started couch surfing in 2009 when my crazy college roommates and I were bumming around Trampa, FL and decided to spontaneously wonder around through Europe. It was the best time ever, especially due to the people we met through CS.
I'm based in Gainesville (GVegas), FL now and would love to catch up with other couch surfers, if not host them.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed for the first time summer 2009 during a eurotrip (that im still on) with my friends, who are both on couchsurfing. It was the most amazing experience! I´m not gonna lie, I wasnt sure what to expect, but we just had great hosts every single time.
In Berlin, we went danced all night til the early morning (totally sucks to come out of a club looking all trashy into daylight.. haha!) and then our couch surfer took us around the city looking for more places to entertain us. Awesome.
In Budapest, I hiked up the hill in Buda to watch the sunrise with our couchsurfer (his brilliant idea). Speaking of hiking, our CouchSurfers in Zurich took us up a mountain (which we didn´t expect) to some hidden restaurant at the top. Yeah, so pretty awesome time with our hosts!
Interests
food fashion and fornication. traveling, spontaneity, Hulu/Netflix comas, anything involving creativity/hacking, cooking, startups, wind-surfing, snow boarding, extreme anything, philosophy, design, writing (on occasion), and learning (because there always is something new).
I'm pretty open to everything

- cooking

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big TV whore (Arrested Development, The Mighty Boosh, Always Sunny in Philidelphia, LOST... I could go on) but I'm on a mission to read more.
When I was traveling through Europe, I read Bourdain's 'A Cooks Tour' which inspired the most amazing part of our trip - San Sebastian. He is knowledgeable, hilarious and raw at the same time. Oh and they focus somewhat on food, which I love. I also like books like Freakamonics & The Tipping Point.
I want to read more on the internets but there's just so much. However, speaking of which, if you like podcasts, Stitcher is the most amazing app ever - you can stream This American Life, Freakanomics, The Moth, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-sky diving over the California mountains during sunset and watching the moon come out
-bar/food hopping in Osaka
-bowing deer in Nara
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook! Well, it's more of a food hacking.
