Got lost in Japan, scholarly intent in Australia, now home and hoping to do good in the world while living in the US and traveling whenever I can!

ABOUT ME

Sarcastic, artistic, book-wormy, and sometimes quiet. I love all things pertaining to Japan which is why I left America to experience Japan...

...and then oddly enough, Australia. Funny world. I don't know anything about Australia but it sounded like a good idea at the time.

But that's all over (at least for the time being). I initially moved to Washington D.C. but decided that the west coast is where I wanted to be. I just moved to Portland, OR and am looking to make some friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met up for coffee with many people when I lived in Osaka and Melbourne, did a couple of CS meets in and around Japan and Australia as well as absolutely wonderful CS experiences in Taipei, Bangkok, Seoul, Tokyo and Sydney!

Intereses

Japan (anime/manga, movies, cosplay, gothic lolita fashion, Murasaki Shikibu, Heian Kyo, etc.), traveling (when I can!!), reading all types of books, watching movies, listening to music, yoga, hiking, and making new friends.

Música, películas y libros

Movies: A random assortment of them, especially by Tim Burton and sometimes by Takashi Miike.

Music: Industrial, EBM, and Darkwave!! I love VNV Nation, Covenant, Ayria, L'ame Immortelle, Assemblage 23, NamNamBulu, NIN, etc. I also like 80's music such as The Cure, Depeche Mode, and Gary Numan.

Books: definitely fantasy, historical and classical! I love Jacqueline Carey, Neil Gaiman, Patricia A. McKillip, Sharon Shinn, Jane Austen, and many, many more.

I have a wonderful story from a very nice Japanese businessman man aboard a plane flight to Taipei. Made my trip just that much better! Ask me about it if you see me!
