About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to live while I'm young and not totally tied down. I want to see all 50 states and not pay a fortune to do it. I want to see what my country has to offer, drive around (and bike around) all over the place, meet interesting people.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is that you only live once. Even if you believe in reincarnation (which I sometimes do), you only live this particular life, with these people and circumstances, once, so you may as well make the most out of it. Life is about enjoyment and experiences, and I plan to live my life to the fullest as many days as I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to immerse myself in other peoples lives and onto their couches, especially during my road trip this summer. I would love to be able to host people on my couch, as long as they're female people. I plan to attend couch surfing events with fellow surfers in my area (which I have already done once, before even signing up for the site, thanks to a good friend!) I tried to host one once, but I think it was at an inconvenient time for ppl... I'll try that again though!
Interests
I used to play the alto sax. I keep saying I'm trying to get back into it but I haven't properly yet, maybe due to lack of a place to play and comfort in my abilities. I love travel, new places and people, inspiration, and new experiences. I used to love reading, and I'd like to get back into it again. I just recently picked up a few books from Goodwill, but if you have any reading suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them. I'm also starting an online magazine/community for multiracial families. The web address is http://www.swirlworldmagazine.com. I'm definitely looking for anyone who'd be interested in writing for it as well, as it is a reader-contributed magazine.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movies are The Devil Wears Prada, because I thought that was what my life would be like for the first few years after college (and favorite tv show was Ugly Betty, for the same reason). My favorite book is Big Girls Don't Cry, although I think it's time to get a new favorite book.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Everything I did in St. Thomas, USVI, I think was pretty amazing even though none of it was out of the ordinary.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach the multiracial experience and help guide people through it. As my magazine develops, I plan to develop a publishing empire as well as a talk circuit on the multiracial experience. I'm sure there are other things, too, but that is my main contribution to the world (I think).
