Mildly introversive Humanist and closet Buddhist with a serious case of wanderlust and never ending restlessness despite a sometimes bothersome lack of motivation... I like to think of myself as a good guy despite the inherent human downfalls.

Limited chances to get involved at the moment, with my job dragging me out to sea at frequent. Looking to the near future (and the future nearing)!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although not arranged through CS, per se, I have been on the receiving end of the same brand of hospitality promoted here and am, therefore, already behind the curve on giving back. Here's to the community here giving me a chance for retribution!

Music, Movies, and Books

More books than movies, more music than books. Fight Club, Forrest Gump. Anything by Richard Halliburton, Chuck Phalaniuk, or Voltaire, George Orwell's "1984" and Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451". Anything resembling music is good in my books but I'm less than fond of Rap/Hip Hop. Jimi Hendrix, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool/APC, Mogwai, My Bloody Valentine, Killswitch Engage, Norah Jones, Rise Against, John Mayer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Passing the shores of Iwo Jima on a US Navy Destroyer bound for the Marianas islands from our home port in Japan.
