About Me
**** I’m not verified because apparently the $60 for verification is a scam.... but I promise you can get to know my character below (I hope so at least) :)
**** This is also my first time on Couchsurfing! I am very excited to begin surfing and hosting!
Welcome (with open arms) to my bio!!! :)
My name is Kurt and I am 21 years old from New Orleans, United States. Anyone who knows me would describe me as happy, smiling, uplifting, a "silly-goose," intentional, and caring (loving). I try not to take life too seriously, but then at the same time, I am very driven to find my purpose and squeeze everything out of our earthly journey as I can. I spend every waking moment (as of the last several months) thinking and pondering about why I am doing certain things, why others are doing things, and what the ultimate purpose of life is. I am starting to believe that I'll find these answers first through silence and prayer, and then through meeting, loving, and serving others.
I am genuinely excited to hear from you, no matter who you are or where you are from. Our different accents, cultures, and worldviews allow us to see the beauty in diversity and having a broader worldview, and I'm looking forward to experiencing this first-hand. Talk to you soon (I hope)!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This is my first time as a couchsurfer, but I am much more excited than I am nervous. Others sometimes think that I have too much trust in other people (hitchiking, giving rides to strangers, and sleeping on a foreign person's couch from night to night), but I'm coming to realize that this is just naturally who I am. If I am let down or betrayed by someone, then so be it. I believe that there is good in everyone.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is very cliché, but I love all types of music. If I had to pick specific types, I would say alternative (Mumford and Sons, George Ezra, etc), and country. My favorite movies and books are all over the place. I love the Percy Jackson series of books and the Rocky Balboa series.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I won the Louisiana State Tennis Championship with my little brother as my doubles partner. This was a huge accomplishment for us.
Teach, Learn, Share
“This world was not made for perfection, here was meant for learning, and you only really learn when you listen, and you only really listen when you love” - Lucia
(a friend)
I want want to learn (and love) as much as possible. “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever" - Ghandi. I genuinely want to learn everything about every culture's food, history, customs, people, etc, and love along the way. Also, random, but I would love to be able to speak Spanish fluently one day (I can speak a tinyyyy bit right now).
If you ever come to New Orleans, I would be beyond excited to show show you everything we can offer - food (the best and most unique), cajun language, sports, etc.
What I can share is just who I am. I will be genuine and kind, and I simply want to meet people and listen to different perspectives.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I want to share who I am. I have my own customs and beliefs from my culture that I would be delighted to share with you. I also have some unique experiences from meeting people throughout the years. I would love to write books one day on all that I have been learning about life. I'm not sure what I can share that will be tangible, but I want to share all of who I am, my experiences, my personality, and most importantly, kindness. I know this is cliché but I mean it. And I am also willing to help with absolutely anything and everything you might be working on or need help with. Daily house chores is obvious.
I of course will also be excited to open my doors whenever I have a place of my own to surfers around the world.
