Overview
About Me
Hello! My name is Kurt, and I’m an entrepreneur that is addicted to creating. Whether i’m making video games, doing Parkour, or guiding a social interaction, I am infatuated with the underlying process of self-expression, creativity, and discovery. I also think a lot (probably too much).
I recently took a break from my studies at the University of Michigan in order to pursue my passion making video games. It has been quite the adventure thus far!
Many of my Computer Science classmates are graduating from U of M and locking in high paying 9-5 jobs at monster tech companies; this is not my desired path. At this stage in my life, I desire entrepreneurial freedom and creativity over a high paying salary.
That should give you a decent idea about who I am, but feel free to check out my website to learn more http://www.kwaldo.com
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a Freelance game developer, the world is my work space. Although I do have a home in Ann Arbor Michigan, I would love to experience more of the world and meet inspiring people (through both hosting and traveling). I feel couch surfing is the best way to travel, as locals can help me discover the various hidden gems in the city. I also love to adventure and meet new people, so couch surfing is an ideal scenario! When working from home, I often get all cooped up and would love to have surfers join me.
Whether I meet you in your home or you join me at mine, I can't wait to meet you ^_^

Music, Movies, and Books
Although I listen to practically everything, Dr. Dog is hands down my favorite band. They are certified doctors in my book! Their music has helped me through hard times and kept my spirits high in the best of times.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing? I cloned myself by splitting in half when I was just a little egg. My twin thanks me everyday.
Okay ill pick something a little more recent in my life.
I finally listened to my heart and pursued a career in independent game development despite the massive amount of backlash from family and friends.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have so much to share! I am very open about my thoughts, perspectives, and insights. Additionally, as a person addicted to learning, I have acquired various random skills over the years. I draw, have been doing Parkour for 10 years, play hacky sac, create videogames, websites, apps, and much more! I guarantee I have something to share that you are interested in (:
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you host me, I can share my energy, talents, and knowledge! Additionally, I loveeee to cook and am more than willing to grab some groceries and cook up some mean meals for the duration of my stay.
