We are both vegetarians (no vegans) and don't smoke. We love to garden and have been trying to be more and more self-sufficient. We had a composting toilet in the house and we loved it.
Now we bought a small apartment right in the middle of Brussels. We are mortgage-free and can travel more, but we will miss the garden.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We received several guests when living in a community house in Brussels. Nice experiences. In 2009 we couchsurfed in Italy.
When traveling in India for three months in 2022-2023 we met several people using the couchsurfing platform (all very interesting people). For us meeting people is a very important part of travelling and most of the beautiful travel memories involve contact with locals. We don't like staying in impersonal hotels or being entertained in resorts

Very broad musical taste: a sample to clarify how broad: Inna da Yard, Pig with the face of a boy, Garba music, Steeleye Span, Carlos Gardel, Jean-baptiste Lully, Mozart, Black Sabbath, Goran Bregovic, Gogol Bordello, Cumbia, Buena Vista Social Club, Bollywood, Calypso, Herman van Veen ... ... Essentially everything authentic, no commercial pop.

the Gennetines festival in France: two weeks non-stop (neo)traditional music and dancing without end -

Staying in a rural village in India for the wedding of a friend, loosing almost all our privacy, but getting so much more in return
