I am college educated.
I live a very active lifestyle (hiking, running, lifting weights, yoga). I train in several martial arts (boxing, wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai).
Music has been a large part of my life. I have NO measurable musical talent, but I love listening to recorded/live music and I could not imagine a life without it. Much of my traveling is centered around attending music events.

I love traveling and meeting new people and saving money. It seems as though Couchsurfing is the perfect combination of all of these.

My music interests are VERY diverse. There is no genre that I cannot find some connection with. This is, of course, on a case by case basis with each artist/band. A few of my current favorites include J Roddy Walston and the Business, alt-J, Queens of the Stone Age, Atmosphere, Clutch, and Gogol Bordello.

I specifically love movies by Wes Andersen and the Coen Brothers. Aside from that my tastes are very broad in the film department as well.

I mostly read non-fiction. I find that real life is often so interesting that I have less interest in fiction, but I know there is value to be gained from novels and I strive to broaden my horizons in this area.

I recently received my yoga teacher certification through Yoga Alliance. I am also a certified Muay Thai instructor through the Thai Boxing Association.
