Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people and learning about different perspectives and ways of being- hosting is a great way to do this. Travelling is a great joy for me and it is always so much better to stay with people who live there. I value community very highly, especially the ability to share, trust, and have a network that crosses language, nationality, and other barriers.
I would much rather crash on a couch and make an awesome new friend than stay in a fancy hotel. I will always return the favor for my hosts.
