ABOUT ME

Me & my girlfriend(Chiharu) got 4 month off and are travelling Asia and Eastern Europe together from February 2014! We are planning to visit Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Turkey, Bulgaria, Macedonia & Albania:)

About myself:
I'm a bit all over the place - I'm a Japanese-Korean who was born and raised in Tokyo until the age of 15 then went to NZ for high school and Australia for university.

There are so much out there in this world and I just like to see as much as I can. I chose to live in Sydney and I love it here but really, how would I know this is the best place to spend my life? I have to get out there and find out for myself!

I constantly set goals and work towards it. I'm a better person now than I was yesterday and hopefully I'll look back just before my life is over and be proud of things I've done and the person I've become through the experiences.

About Chiharu:
She is also from Japan and was a great Jewelry Designer until she decided to drop everything and come to Australia for two years. It was a great choice because that's how she met me:) She is easy-going, open minded and a great travel partner. She's always happy - when she's not smiling or giggling, she'd be cracking up laughing!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in Karma. If you are good to everyone (including yourself) and spread positive energy around you, it will somehow come back to you and makes your life richer.

I always look for the balance where things are just right. Anything can be bad for you if you do it excessively.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to meet other fun-loving open-minded people through surfing and events. Money cannot buy the experience you get from spending time with friendly local people and seeing the places through their eyes! I'd like to give back to the CS community through hosting once I get a decent sized place back in Sydney, Australia:)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first surfing experience was in Cambodia. My girlfriend and I loved spending time with the local family - sleeping in the family home, playing with the kids and having delicious dinner made by the host mum. No hotel or hostel can give you such a genuine cultural experience and it was just priceless!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked the Inca Trail through the clouds to Machu Pichu for 4 days.
