About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learning and experiencing all I can while trying to figure out what comes next!
ABOUT ME
I am a recent college graduate and currently spending a year doing a volunteer program. I live together with four other girls as a community and spend my working days as a caseworker at a small social services non-profit, trying to get people connected to resources that will improve their quality of life. I also spend a lot of time dancing (salsa and every kind of dance class imaginable), teaching ESL, attending all the free cultural events DC has to offer, biking, catching up on all of the pleasure reading I didn't do in college, and wishing I were still practicing capoeira. I'm trying to get back to Brasil (or another south american country) ASAP.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Riding straight under a waterfall in Iguaçu in a boat, fishing for piranhas in the Pantanal which we then ate for dinner in soup, watching a concert while treading water out in the ocean (the band was performing on a boat).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach someone how to do a cartwheel, or how to salsa dance. I can also talk a lot about US immigration issues, the School of the Americas, and CIW farmworkers/movement for fair food.
