About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Move to Portland, Maine! Paint stuff, be a good chaplain, and hike Maine! And then move to Ottawa in the Fall.

ABOUT ME

I am a kind-hearted soul with a good command of profanities.

I am loyal and protective, I love to read and learn, I love my cat, injustice is painful to me. I sometimes run myself ragged trying to do too much at once, because many things matter to me. I love to hike and be outdoors. I am also an introvert! Though I love learning about people and welcoming them into the circle, I resonate with this thing Cher said in Moonstruck: "The big part of you has no words."

I love to do art projects, though I haven't had time in the last year or two for much art.

Interests

I love being in school, and really diving into books and ideas, meeting people who are working on projects that I respect, learning from them as much as I can. I like learning to cook fried things for Passover and iftar. I love the process of community organizing. I love to make things, to paint and write. I love to swim and jog. I love to eat pancakes. I love to show up to support an effort that someone's really put some time into - to be one of the people clapping as folks say what matters most deeply to them. I like to be a vocal ally when there are issues affecting other people's lives. I like to hang out with my Grandma and her best friend. They're funny and we drink pink wine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Seeing my friend Ben's beautiful electric piano for the first time.
2. Stepping onto the Harvard campus for the first time. I actually started to cry in the middle of Harvard Yard and had to sit down.
3. Again and again at political rallies. This past Wednesday, for example, at a rally led by youth, calling for more youth jobs and less diesel emissions, I was amazed by their bravery (even though they weren't very experienced) and their authenticity (they dug deep to talk about their learning and their projects).

Countries I’ve Visited
