Overview
About Me
**Important ** I now live in Germany since 2020, please do not request for Cape Town :)
Before reading any further, please know that if you request a stay only to take advantage of the hospitality I will politely ask you to leave.
Bevor Sie weiterlesen möchte ich Sie darauf hinweisen, dass wenn Sie nur eine Couch anfragen um meine Gastfreundschaft auszunutzen, ich Sie höflich bitten werde zu gehen.
CURRENT MISSION
Speaking for, caring and protecting domestic and wild animals... Other part of my current mission is putting together a team to assist me in building an eco friendly game reserve .
I am also currently floating around Europe and finishing my studies through distance learning.
ABOUT ME
I love animals and nature. If Mother Nature was real I would be her husband :D . I am currently a student studying Nature Conservation and seasonally volunteer my time teaching kids English through work away on adventure camps. I am open minded and a half full glass. I love meeting new people from all walks of life, and enjoy sharing a bit of culture where ever my journeys take me .
I've been back in South Africa for the early part of 2022 and only recently returned to Europe.
PHILOSOPHY
Ubuntu - I am, because we are!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When travelling, I bring with my culture, dry humour and out of the box thinking :).
When I host, I can show you around the mother city, things you should see... and places that are beautiful but unfamiliar to tourists :P
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
met some great people over in europe who, in turns, came back to share the same feeling :)
Interests
Swimming, languages - I would like to learn a few words from my guest in their native language :). Rugby, boxing, Football, table tennis. Doing a bit of animal work where ever possible. Reading, hiking and most of all, socializing.
I'm also open to discussing politics but I am mostly up to date on Southern African nations due to the continuing complexities these lands have faced since their colonial freedom.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies i like - anything based on or inspired by a true story.
Music - Prime circle, Cold play, Parlotones, Paolo Nutini, Michael Kiwanuka, kwesta, Jack Parow, Manchester Orchestra, Leon Bridges, Black Coffee, Goldifish.... or just any damn good music, lol.
Books - Things fall apart by Chinua Achebe, the 100 year old man who climbed out the window and disappeared (funny book), the book thief and the barefoot architect.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Competed in the 20km impi Elite (warrior challenge) 2 years in a row and survived.
Lived for a few months in 2022 on a remote nature reserve in South Africa and spent my days working with management applying what I have learnt through my studies... tasks I was involved with was mentoring students, building roads, anti poaching, fence maintenance, consultancy on wildlife and census techniques, grass and tree identification and too much else to mention.
Teach, Learn, Share
ke e xarra ke (a famous South African saying)
Since I love nature, I will be able to assist and identify the plants and animals found in cape town that you might encounter for the first time. Surfing in Muizenberg is a must do when visiting so come prepared and I might show you where to get your first South African Barrel ;).
