Overview
About Me
I'm a musician on tour throughout the US! I'm proud of the gentle and compassionate person my friends and family have helped me to become. I'm loving the process of travelling from state to state and befriending total strangers. I'm finding more and more as I continue my journey that people fundamentally want the same things (good health and company, to laugh and love, peace of mind). It feels good to know that we're all in this together.
I grew up in Rochester, NY and went to school in Boulder, Colorado. I'm checking out as many different cities as I can on my coast to coast adventure. I also love singing, hiking, sitting outside on cafe patios, talking, and listening!
If you'd like, you can check out my music on my website: www.mileswide.com
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've got 37 shows in 18 cities planned on my tour, and I only have friends in about half of the cities. I'd like to meet new people in each city, and I can't afford to stay at a hotel most nights. I want to spread the music and love!
Interests
Strumming guitar around a fire, hiking a mountain that seems way too big, talking about the unknowable...
Yoga in the dark, biking in the park, audiobooks on a really long drive.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a sucker for The Beatles. I was raised on a healthy mix of rock and roll, singer-songwriters, motown, and alternative music. Play me something new?
I love audiobooks most, especially on long, scenic drives through mountains.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent two weeks in Paris last year - my second night in town, I went door to door with my guitar until someone let me play at their cafe. They asked me back again twice that week!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Serenades, honest conversations, guitar lessons, french poetry, a profound sense of gratitude.
