Hello! I'm a world traveler who does a bit of writing, but a lot of analysis and consulting for corporations, as well.

I lived in Taiwan for quite a long time - over 20 years - but now I am based back in the US, from where i travel to Asia regularly.

I'm a friendly guy who likes to talk, and I'm fully self-contained. I know how to share spaces with people, and am happy to accommodate whatever you may ask of me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet new people, and I prefer living in a casual, home-like environment. I have never been fond of Hotels: when you're a single traveler, they are lonely places where everything has a price tag, and all of it holds little of interest.

Interests

I love pets, books, movies, music, and if you're up for it: coffee, good conversation, and sharing meals.

If you're not, I'm fine with that, too.

Too many to list. My interests are vast - history, philosophy, economics, novels, science-fiction, adventure, action movies, fantasy stories, comedians -

In music, however, my tastes run towards the extreme. I am generally not a fan of ordinary pop music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scaled the face of a mountain peak, and then surfed a vast swathe of stones from the very peak of a mountain down to its base, all while sliding on a vast swathe of rocks.
