I'm a recent college graduate looking to get out into the world. It's not unusual to see me toting my guitars and laptop with me, and I can't turn down a gourmet burger. Or the chance to ride a train.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

On top of the regular travel, I'm hoping to relocate to Boston, MA next month. In the process, I'd love to meet some locals (as well as some cool people along the way) to better immerse myself in the culture of America's best city and make some new friends, too.

MUSIC: Rush, Radiohead, Lemon Demon, They Might Be Giants, Oingo Boingo, Switchfoot, and many more. I also hosted a jazz radio show in college; favorites include Cannonball Adderley, The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Joe Pass, The Vince Guaraldi Trio.

MOVIES: Anything Pixar/Laika/Aardman, Dr. Strangelove, Eraserhead, This Is Spinal Tap, Zootopia, etc.

BOOKS: I have what amounts to a small library on the subject of the Titanic and other maritime disasters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to put into words, but I've shared some incredible moments with other musicians. Those last seconds as the final notes fade away, when you look into your friends' eyes with the shared knowledge that what you just made was amazing--that's what I live for.

Teach, Learn, Share

I keep an open mind, as the best experiences are rarely those we plan for. In service of a useful answer, however, I hope for good conversation. Simple as that. I want to get to know what makes other people tick, what makes their lives quietly extraordinary. If some music or writing results, all the better.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I take song requests! Also, I can cook reasonably well and share my weird life experiences DJing for college radio, loading airplanes, and broadcasting NCAA division 1 sports for whatever they're worth.
