I'm a sailor from Toronto. I'm making my way to Australia via Hawaii for the offseason.

The plan is to find a boat and sail across the pacific. I have around 6,000 sea miles under my belt and love being on the water doing anything from sailing to swimming. Recently engaged to the love of my life who will join me in Hawaii and we will travel together as we look for a place to call home.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I joined couchsurfing to find like minded individuals that are down to swap stories and help with ideas on traversing this expansive universe we are apart of. I'm currently on my way to Hawaii and I am looking to find opportunities to go sailing (racing or cruising) and hopefully learn to dive. The end goal is to crew on a passage to Australia with my fiancee.

Interessen

I'm very interested in sailing. It is my number one love (next to my other half of course). I am also interested in sustainability, I'm looking to learn about permaculture and in the future I plan to build a homestead that is completely self sustaining. I love doing Yoga and meditation and enjoy deep conversations about spirituality and the nature of things. Constantly looking to expand my knowledge and learn as much as I can from the people I meet.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love all music. My favourite artist of all time would be Tupac. I'm deep into Patrick O'brian's novels and basically any books about the navy in the early 17 -1800's Big movie buff, one of my favourites of all time is Master and Commander as well as Kingdom of Heaven.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Last summer I embarked on a boat delivery departing form Fort Worth florida to Whitehaven, United Kingdom. Myself and 3 other souls aboard, it was an amazing voyage and I fell in a deep love with the Ocean.

I'm an avid sailor, I can teach sailing if anyone is interested and most things associated with it. Other then knowledge I don't have much to share currently.
