ABOUT ME

I am a half Portuguese, half Peruvian, American. I was born in California but grew up in Ohio for most of my life. I love traveling and meeting new people. I am a very laid back person. I love hanging out with friends, going to the beach (when I am near one), reading, and playing soccer. Along with hanging out with friends, I love going out and dancing.

I love learning about other cultures and languages while meeting new people. I have arrived recently back to the States but I am looking to travel again in the near future.

PHILOSOPHY

All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have only used couchsurfing for meeting people and finding out about events while living in Lima, Peru. I also plan on hosting in the near future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has been great! My friends never seem to understand it when I try to explain it to them but I recommend it to everyone. It is a great way to connect people and share experiences.

I have met some of the most interesting people through couchsurfing.

I have many interests that I could elaborate on. I am really open to anything.

My main interests include: traveling, languages, dancing!, meeting new people, learning about different cultures, wine, soccer/tennis/basketball, books, hiking, biking, etc.

I love going to movies, listening to music, and reading books.

The type of movies I enjoy are: drama, foreign language films, comedy, documentaries and adventure.

The type of books I enjoy are books that promote thinking and curiosity.

As for music I enjoy many different genres. Right now I am on a Spanish music binge that I can't seem to break. A few of my favorite Spanish singers include Mark Anthony, Jencarlos Canela, Enrique Iglesias (his Spanish music), J Alvarez and a few others. The typical genre I listen to in English is alternative. It really depends on my mood. I love dance music also. Sometimes there can be nothing more motivating than a good beat haha.

Visiting Machu Picchu was pretty amazing! It was so incredible!

I don't like the idea of choosing just one though. If we get a chance to talk we can share more experiences!

Some skills I could share... I played college soccer and tennis so if for whatever reason you have a strong desire to learn, talk, or play I would love that.

I also lived in South America for an extended period of time and could help with speaking a bit of Spanish. Although I am not an expert, I can definitely help with what I know. I could also help with English if you are trying to learn.
