CURRENT MISSION

To travel and see some new places. But first I have to get some things in order and I am looking for somebody that wants to help an Army Vet in need not looking for a hand out.

ABOUT ME

I spent 7 years in the Army National Guard but I spent most of my time on active duty at a time when 50% of the fighting force overseas was made of of Guard and Reserve troops. I have scars both physical and emotional from my tours of duty but I have forged on. I have seen and done some pretty amazing things in my life. I spent a short time as a firefighter-emt until my physical ailments from the military cut my career short, I went to culinary school and learned the ways of the culinary arts and I am even in the process of having some of my writing published and helping a friend of mine ghost write a book he has been working on. I know what direction I want my life to go, I have just had some troubles along the way and at the moment I am in a bit of a rough patch in this wild journey we call life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, until I can get my own place I am strictly surfing, but in the past when I was on here I hosted when I live in Kansas City and it was interesting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a very good experience with couch surfing and I hope it continues that way.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

As far as movies go I'll just say that I am a huge Tarentino fan, I love anything with Edward Norton, Al Pacino, De Niro, Scorsese pictures, Will Ferrel, just about any goof ball comedy, and an assorted amount of indie films. As far as music that list is so long and varied I think your brain would melt if I tried to list it all, so we would just have to have a conversation about it some time. As far as books I will pretty much pick up and read anything that can grab my attention within the first few paragraphs but my favorite author is easily George Orwell and 1984 is the best book ever.

I once worked with General David Patraeus when he was the top 4 star in Iraq. I met a lot of high profile people when I was assigned to that mission including the then Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Peter Pace, and I have to say General Pace was one of the coolest people I ever met. I jumped into and swam in the Persian Gulf right in the middle of the bay in Doha City, Qatar.

I feel that I have had many experiences in my life and have a lot of knowledge that I could pass on. But as much as that may be true, I really love learning new and different things especially about people from different walks of life or who have experience from different cultures and parts of the world. I believe that you never stop learning.
