When I first started using couch surfing, I was using it to meet locals in Japan and New Zealand. I realized that the locals are going to give you the best experience and realistic representation of the culture. I spend a year or two hosting people while I was going to school in California to keep that travel buzz alive. Some of my best memories are from couch surfing. Currently my partner and I living in Colorado Springs,Co.
