I'm currently in the process of looking for a career that will keep me outdoors, but that will also keep me fed. I was born and raised on Florida's "Nature Coast," and I still find this land of crystal clear springs and dark oak hammocks to be the most magical place on earth. That said, I'm a sucker for variety, and I often find myself longing for the mountains (and even the snow). In order to have it both ways, I'm looking for a scenario where I can work seasonally as a wilderness guide -summers in the north and winters in Florida- with plans to eventually start my own backcountry tour business.

The day after climbing NY's Mt Marcy, I completed a full Presidential Traverse in New Hampshire's White Mountains. Due to a combination of poor planning and good luck, about half of my hike was at night, under a full moon.

Few people are as intimately acquainted with Florida's beautiful, unknown nooks and crannies as I am, and nothing is more satisfying to me than showing them off.
