About Me

I'm a recent Audio and Music Technology graduate from UWE (Bristol), finally pursuing my passion for travelling! I'm massively into my music, drumming for a Hip Hop band and a Prog/Grunge band which brings a whole load of happiness into my life! My main objectives are to travel to beautiful places and enjoy its nature and landscapes, absorb the culture, meet whole bunch of interesting people and eat lots of nice local food! I'm very friendly, respectful, outgoing and peaceful. In my own time I like to listen to music, read books and enjoy what the surrounding environment has to offer, whether it be hiking, swimming, adventuring or just having a couple of drinks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What is there not to like about couchsurfing? I get to meet new people, make new friends, share some stories, learn about local culture and places to visit AND get a place to stay! And who knows, we might stay in touch, can return the favour if they're ever in the UK or even do something together in and around your city!

Interests

Over the years, I've got into a couple of different hobbies that I've really enjoyed. Here are some of them: brewing ales, growing vegetables and mushrooms, cycling, running, drumming, reading, hiking and cooking. I've got a keen interest in anything related to nature, wildlife, animals, eco systems too.

I'm a drummer in a Hip Hop band but if you're curious, check out the music from the links below!

I indulge myself in all sorts of music ranging from reggae (Bob Marley, The Toots and the Maytals, UB40), Ska (Sublime, Backbeat Sound System), Rock (Black Sabbath, Tool, Reuben, CHON, Guns 'n' Roses), Disco (Breakbot, Diana Ross, Earth Wind and Fire), Chilled (Hiatus Kaiyote, Fat Freddy's Drop, Alt-J, Submotion Orchestra, Hindi Zahra), HipHop (Wu Tang Clan, Ocean Wisdom, Pharoahe Monch), Afro-Beat (Fela Kuti, Monophonics, The Sure Fire Ensemble, Matuki, Jungle Fire). There's obviously more but I will not bore you with any more!

Films: Into The Wild, Ray, Forest Gump, Swiss Army Man, The Hunt For The Wilderpeople.

Books: 1984, Shadow of the Wind, The Power of Now, The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat, Annihilation, The Brief History of Time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The moment I won my first battle of the bands was a magical moment for me. (I think it was in 2011) It was the first time I felt like the music that I helped to create was truly accepted and appreciated by people not just by people who knew me but by hundreds of strangers! What a brilliant feeling!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach drumming, basics of brewing ales, Japanese, cooking, travel tips, anything about audio technology (I've got a 1st class degree in it!) and obviously I'm happy to share any knowledge I have acquired over the years! Ask me anything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share knowledge, contacts, food, stories, company and happiness!

Countries I’ve Visited

China, France, Greece, Malaysia, Mali, Spain, Thailand, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In
