About Me
Just another Chilean who came to Australia “for a year”… seven years ago.
Now calling Bondi Beach home, I first landed in Sydney on a working holiday visa, with zero plans to stay long-term, and somehow ended up building an entirely new life here.
Before moving to Australia, I was working as a lawyer in Chile, focusing on real estate and corporate law. I was lucky to work across Latin America, providing services in Argentina, Peru, and Colombia, and eventually opened my own real estate office.
Since arriving, I’ve lived all over, from the buzz of Sydney and Melbourne to the quiet beauty of the Tablelands and the wild island life of Fitzroy Island (yes, it was as crazy and fun as it sounds). These days, I’m back in Sydney, working as a General Manager for a fast-paced hospitality group in the tourism industry and always carving out time for the next adventure.
What I’m into:
– Travel: spontaneous road trips, random flights, and visiting friends interstate
– History: especially war documentaries and deep dives into world history
– Cocktails & cooking: nothing beats a good pisco sour or Negroni after work
– Camping, trekking, skiing
– Art galleries and a good party
– Work: as an immigrant, work has played a huge role in my journey—and I’m lucky to love what I do
– Deep chats and spontaneous plans (preferably with wine or a walk by the beach)
I’m open-minded, curious, easygoing, and always up for showing people around or sharing a sunset drink. If you’re in Bondi and want to explore, trade stories, or just hang out—hit me up.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I genuinely enjoy meeting new people—especially from different cultures and languages. It’s the best way to learn, connect, and share stories beyond the usual tourist path.
Interests
I love traveling, reading, and meeting people from all walks of life. Road trips, a good pub session, or a picnic in the park with great music and food are some of my favorite ways to spend a day.
I’m also a lawyer by background, and I genuinely enjoy deep conversations about international law. I’m always up for diving into the “taboo” topics too, politics, religion, or anything people usually avoid in public. I think those are the chats where real connection happens (and maybe a bit of friendly debate too).

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m a big fan of John Grisham and Karleen Koen, give me anything with history, intrigue, betrayal, or war and I’m hooked. I’m into everything from historical fiction to political thrillers.
Musically, my taste is all over the place: I love classical music for relaxing or reading, but I’m just as into electronic, house, and indie, depends on the mood and the moment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Working as a ski instructor in the USA, one of my best experiences (in North Carolina) .

What I Can Share with Hosts
I’d love to share my culture, exchange experiences, swap stories, and most importantly, have fun and create good memories together.
I can also cook some tasty Chilean dishes and shake up a few cocktails.
