ABOUT ME

A somewhat recent college graduate, I have begun the long and arduous process of discovering what I want to do with my life. I recently got back from an 8 month stint in West Africa/Europe, now I'm back working as a teacher at an elementary school.

Sometimes I can be an incessant contrarian, but believe me, it's only because I like you... and a good debate.

PHILOSOPHY

Music and food are two of the most stimulating and insightful cross-cultural experiences. They nourish my soul.

Interests

Eating, cooking, music, playing music, film, history and culture, beer, politics, cycling, journalism and narrative journalism, geography, instruments, alter-globalization, boggle, hiking, ethnomusicology, trivia, backpacking, traveling (duh).... But really, I mostly just like picnics made of cheese.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a wide range of music. My taste constantly evolves and expands. I love discovering new music and I often connect well with musicians. Music is a pretty major constant in my life.

Some films I've enjoyed recently (though not necessarily "recent") are: Tabloid, Crimes and Misdemeanors, Aguirre, L'Illusionniste, and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

Books: Trying to get through Infinite Jest at the moment. Yeah... I said trying.
