New to couchsurfing! I grew up in Guangzhou, China although my parents are not originally from there (and somewhat as a result my Cantonese is patchy haha). I went to the US for college and have been living in Chicago ever since. I am studying Japanese history and thus studying Japanese. For once or twice a year I will spend some time in Japan for research.
