About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am selling everything I own to ride to San Francisco on my Kymco People 150! I found the one I can't let get away, and with so little luck finding employment in Houston, there's no point in staying if he leaves for work. Help me on my quest for love!

ABOUT ME

I'm a lover.

Nothing is more important in life to me and I've decided before I grow too old to enjoy a rough adventure in pursuit of it. I want to take my scooter on a meandering 3 month, 3 to 4 thousand mile course through the Western United States with a mission: to learn to love and understand people from all walks of life and pursue the man I love who is soon moving to California.

My current course has me leaving Houston between March and April, driving through Austin toward Taos (stay there a bit) and landing me in L.A. before May 7th. (That's my birthday! I want to spend it with a special someone.) Then, I'll cruise up 1 to San Francisco and either settle down for a while with a good friend or keep riding to Vancouver. Beyond that, I haven't got much of a plan, but am open to suggestions! Let me know which roads you love most on my trip and I'll try to send you a postcard. : )

NEWS: I am currently seeking sponsorship from a non-profit I can believe in before I attempt to woo commercial sponsors. In exchange for sponsorship, I will collect pledges and donations, distribute media and pimp their cause all the way to the Pacific in super scooter style. If anyone knows a non-profit willing to work with a charismatic young woman such as myself, please shoot me a message!

PHILOSOPHY

All things in moderation, moderation itself included.

Sometimes taking oneself to extremes refines the parameters of existence into something far more comprehensive. This is why I need my upcoming journey.

I want to be the person I want to meet. I want to be the lover that I want to love. I want to learn to see positivity in everyone without exposing myself needlessly to underhanded intentions. Also, I wish this was something you could learn in college.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

On my way to San Francisco I will need a few places to catch a shower and some ZZZs. I will have nothing but my bike and my stories and a few changes of clothing. I promise I can enrich the time of my hosts with useful information, fantastic tales of travel and strange jobs though.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

10 years ago, when I was 17, I hitch hiked to Cali and back to Houston over the course of 10 months. Since, I travel frequently between friend's couches. I have not yet used this site for couch surfing.

Interests

Meeting people and learning about what makes them themselves. Actually.. I will have to fully fill this out later, my interests are incredibly broad. Anything art, science or slightly daredevil is a good cover. I love my Kymco People 150 scooter and anyone brave enough to ride on two wheels. Also, I LOVE to cook! If you host me, you're likely to get some chef magic. Oh, and Houston is right up there with New York in cuisine.. just saying. I grew up with mad food standards. ; )

Music, Movies, and Books

There isn't much I'm not willing to try once, and few experiences I don't enjoy. : )

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travels aside, the most amazing thing I've ever seen was the family of cardinals that lived outside my bedroom window as a child. Every year until the tree fell they would come back and raise 3 babies to adulthood. It brought me enormous happiness.
