I've just taken the plunge.. a year with just a backpack for company..

I'm 24 and currently a research scientist but in an effort to avoid the inevitable PhD, i've chosen a year of freedom to finally travel the world and connect with different cultures.

At the moment i'm unfortuantly unable to host however would love to meet up for a coffee or beer and show people around one of the best cities in the world (no bias..)

I love live music, reading, films, music and to cook, I think this will be the thing I miss the most… Maybe you could help me with withdrawals?? I think the things i miss most from home give a better insight.. i miss riding my bike throught the park, an afternoon beer with friends and pretending that i can actually sing (when no one else is around of course...)

The last five months has been full of unforgettable experiences. Hangliding over Rio, sitting in a hot spring in the middle of the Bolivian desert, Hiking the lost city trail in Colombia and swimming with sea lions in the Galapagos. But the list could go on...
