ABOUT ME

I am an adventure seeker, although I can seem a little shy at times. I love meeting new people and learning new customs. I was going to college for art, and then zoology, and then I decided that I would much rather travel then spend the next 6 years in school. Culture seems a much better education! I am in the market to move away from the united states, so when I am visiting, I am also looking for a place I might want to call home!

To travel the world, meeting amazing like minded people who help me to really immerse myself into the culture and see the local side of things, rather then the touristy/fake side. To share stories and philosophies. To help other travelers in need and to share my home when I am able.

兴趣

I am a huge fan of art. I was an art major in college and love doing and seeing art. I also love extreme sports. Rock climbing is one of my favorite things to do, as well as white water kayaking, mountaineering and backpacking. Eventually I want to work up the nerve to go sky diving :-P

Right now in my life, I want to live to the fullest, meet amazing people and experience as much as possible, in as many places as possible.

I am interested in personal growth, yoga and meditation. I want to be the best that I can be, and never stop learning.

I am a student of Vipassana, Hooping and Aerial Silk. While I am a beginner in all of them, I have a passion and excitement for each one!

Soooo hard to choose! I like media that makes you think, and question social norms, what we have been told and that which "is known". I also like the occasional cheezy feel good movie and love classic 80's rock :-P

While hitchhiking in Thailand, I sought shelter at a Buddhist temple. They offered me a room where I could sleep on the floor. The monks where so kind and generous. They went above and beyond, offering me so much food. One even gave me a scarf from Louse, and a Buddhist blessing bracelet, which I plan to wear until it falls off. I tried to offer to help clean, but as the cleaning is part of their meditation, they refused. They invited me to join them for breakfast the next morning, where there was an abundance of food, and they even sent me with a bag of food, and tried to buy me a bus ticket! I had to insist that I didn't mind hitchhiking. It was an incredible experience!

The world is a much more beautiful place then those in power would have you believe. There are kind, generous, wonderful people all over the world if you leave your bubble and allow them in. Fear is an illusion. What purpose does fear serve? To keep us from danger? No. That is logic. Fear is made in our minds, and it does nothing but hinder logic, and keep us from realizing our true potential. Worry, like fear, has no benefit. Worry does not help that which we are worried about, but produces stress and anxiety, and hinders our ability to problem solve. When we choose to live in the moment, and focus on that which is beautiful and awe inspiring, we can be truly happy. Happiness is not a result of uncontrollable circumstances thrust upon us. Happiness is a choice.

I love to cook! I am passionate about healthy eating, and since I have started the transformation, I had to learn to cook, and Im still constantly amazed at how good natural healthy food can taste! I've collected many recipes from my travels and I would love to share them with you!
