ABOUT ME

I´m 26 years old and just finished my university studies of mechanical engineering. During my studies I tried to travel as much as I could and I'm trying to continue that afterwards. My home town is Berlin in Germany. I love my city and my district, my apartment, the bars around, to have a barbecue at sunset on our rooftop, my friends (especially my room mate Robert), to read, to see films and to sleep.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to offer my couch as often as I can. But because of my studies and a lot of internships, my time is very limited. I also have to ask my room mate if its ok for him. But feel free to ask for a coffee, or maybe I can show you around.

At the moment I'm in Australia, so I won't be able to offer my couch for the next 9 month.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I already had a few Couchsurfer, from Mexico, USA, India and Sweden and I was couchsurfing in Amsterdam and Dublin with two friends of mine. I really liked it and I want to try it again.

Most of the time I have couchsurfers from outside the community. Means I hosted a few couchsurfer and then they knew a few people who were not registered on Couchsurfing.org, but still wanted to sleep on my couch and explore my home city. So if everybody I hosted so far would have an account, I would have much more references ^^ ... but I think its about hospitality and not about how many friends you have on a social network!

Interessen

I love to read good books and to watch movies (my friends call me movie-addicted :-)
I like to go snowboarding (that is a little bit difficulty when you life in the north of Germany), to go jogging (I do it in the Volkspark near my apartment) and to hang out with my friends.

One year ago I started swimming and I like it a lot. Hope to continue during my time in Australia.

Films: Above all The Shawshank Redemption, The Social Network, The Last King of Scotland, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, Fight Club, City of God, Sunshine (I like Danny Boyle), most of the films from Steven Spielberg ...
Books: Child 44 and The Secret Speech, The Social Network, The Constant Gardener, The Beach and many more (I don't know the titles in English)
Music: Mutemath, Bush, Nirvana, Snow Patrol, Switchfoot, Lifehouse, ... mostly Rock and Alternative

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I think the most amazing things I've ever done are two trips to Southeast Asia together with my friend Sebastian. We were travelling through Thailand, Laos and Cambodia for altogether two months. I liked it a lot and I definitely will come Back to Asia!

I can teach you mechanical engineering :-D ... just kidding

I can talk quite a lot about films/movies but I think there are many people who know a lot more than I do. I'm happy to teach and I'm happy to be taught ^^
