Hello! For the last year, my husband Brent and I have enjoyed exploring our home country with trips to the West Coast and the Great Smoky Mountains. Now, we're headed to Central and South America to volunteer, learn Spanish, and meet some amazing new people (we hope).

We're both from Tennessee and attended the University of Tennessee. We love watching the Vols play, spending time with our friends, and adventuring in the great outdoors.

Interests

I love to write. Brent loves to sketch. We've spent many happy afternoons in coffee shops, absorbed in our notebooks.

We take photos everywhere we go. Occasionally, they turn out okay.

I cook because I enjoy it. I run to balance out all of the chocolate that I eat.

Brent plays guitar and mandolin.

We both love to travel. But I think that goes without saying?

Music, Movies, and Books

We listen to a wide variety of music. I grew up on American country twang, and Brent loves bluegrass. But we also listen to pop, rock, hip hop, Americana and indie styles of music.

I grew up reading fantasy novels. (Harry Potter is a favorite). Now, I like to read autobiographies and a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction.

Neither of us watch many movies. When we do, we lean toward comedies and action films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once taught a class on social media in Slovakia. It was a great group of people, and a wonderful place to visit. I hope to go back one day.
