About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To go to new places, discover new architecture, nature, food, meet new people, make new friends.

ABOUT ME

First, my profile photo was at a Museum in Gothenburg. I don't wear hats like that!!!

I am a laid back and relaxed. I get excited about things that interest me and anything fun.

I was born in Melbourne (Australia). I moved to Mildura (Australia) when I was 9 years old. I moved back to Melbourne for University.

I learned the piano and the saxophone (band, and jazz ensemble).
I played baseball, did rowing, played tennis, and participated in cross country running and swimming.

My weak point is doing things at the last minute.
My strong point is I am easy going.

I am not so good at writing about myself, I will update my information to make it better.
It is easier to get to know people in person...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't done so much yet.
I quit my job to travel around Europe, so I hope I can meet a lot of different people and make new friends.
I think that if any one would like to know about Australia or Japan I could share lots of information with them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Actually, now that I look at my history, it doesn't look very good.
I joined up because I thought it was a great idea and sounded fun and interesting.

I have been living in a small town in Southern Japan. I got some requests for meeting a few people, but I couldn't due to being back in Australia visiting my family for example.

I stayed with a couchsurfer (actually Hospitality Club member, it's the same idea as CouchSurfing, but CouchSurfer seems more popular now) in Kyoto and also met another person who is a Hospitality Club member there. Anyway, that was such a great experience getting a look at local places like hot springs (onsen) and some food with someone who lives there and talking about our interests and lives.

I also went to Cambodia but I stayed with my friend from University and his family because they are Cambodian. That was only for 3 days, but it was amazing. Just like Kyoto, instead of just passing through somewhere, it feels like you live there for a short time and make close new friends.

I am last minute kind of person, which is not so good for Couch Surfing but I hope it works okay :)

I have been in a small town in Sicily with a couch surfer and it was great. Such a totally new experience for me.
