I am passionate about social enterprise and community building through innovation and creativity. I would categorise myself as an energetic optimist. I have a problem with the status quo and strive to influence it in a productive and open minded way. I am a people person and thrive off human interaction. I strive to prioritise health, family, friends, community and a connection with nature.

PHILOSOPHY

karma is real. There is no such thing as luck and life is full of apparent 'coincidences' that are actually opportunities waiting to be had.... So take them!!

Interests

I'm fascinated by the lessons we can learn from other cultures and the world around us. Part of this is a massive desire to use my small time to make the world a better place. Even if just in a tiny way.

I have founded and run my own not for profit organisation called Dismantle. www.dismantle.org.au. We teach at-risk young people how to rebuild old bicycles as a transformative and engaging community activity.

I love surfing, travel, live music, chilled out cafes, spending time in nature, riding my bikes, playing cycle-polo and i've just signed up for a paragliding course.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The happiest family in the world that I met in Indonesia during a home stay. By western standards they are very poor. But the Thomas family were surrounded by loving family, friends and had heaps of time to chill. So who's really poor??

5 minutes in Mumbai India is enough to change anybodies perspective on the world.
