Overview
About Me
I've been called interesting, eclectic and recently, "peculiar". I'm very ambitious and have goals and interests taking up more time than the average lifespan of a human. I need a thousand years just to read a tenth of the books I'm interested in devouring. Very curious about the world and its inhabitants, art, language and culture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couchsurfing to meet new people in casual settings, as well as for practical purposes- to be able to host and occasionally be a guest. I consider myself a great host. I cook and have a lot of ideas of where people can go to explore the city. *Regarding current accommodations as a host: read 'edit' footnote at the end.*
I'm a professional interpreter and translator working non conventional hours, but when I have time I'd gladly join the activities with my guests.
In terms of being a guest, I am quite easy going and not demanding. If necessary, I can be out the entire day exploring whichever city I am in, and just come home at night to catch some sleep. I am certainly open to hanging out with hosts or exploring town together though. I'm good at giving people a balance of company and space- I understand everyone's needs are different and it varies for me as well.
Edit as of 2025: I'm traveling myself now so I can't host and do not know what my next housing situation will be like. I do hope to host again when I return to the big apple 🍎🍏 and will update as it evolves.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have an eclectic taste in music. Hip hop for dancing, Enya for relaxing, classical for concerts, open-minded.
Books- all about the brain and disorders, mental health, psych, self help, sewing related, and the "for dummies" or "how-tos". I'm a big DIY fan.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For starters, I left a religious cult several years ago which was pretty amazing in and of itself... Otherwise I like to engage in little impressive things that will one day add up to a large dose of amazingness...
Teach, Learn, Share
I can show you how to bake some goodies, how to perfect your wardrobe with fashion tips, and share my unique life experiences for those who are intrigued by interesting stories.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my fabulous company and sense of humor. I can help with light housework or groceries if that helps. Cooking a meal as mentioned above- I've cooked for most of my hosts and guests. I'd definitely clean up after myself.
I can also trim or style your hair.
