To travel the world on and experience as many cultures and communities as possible. So much to learn.
My hosting has ended and I'll be back traveling started Jan 4.
Back From Dominican Republic home for the holidays in Los Angeles and luckily picked up a housesitting assignment. How cool is that? I can host, but I will screen stronger than normal to protect the owners. I am allowed to have guests.
I HAVE A NEW FACEBOOK PAGE. THE OLD ONE WAS DELETED BY FB...URGH! CONT FIGURE OUT HOW TO CHANGE IT ON CS
My biggest accomplishment is being a proud, single mom and raising my son who is now a college graduate 09/2014). Having a son, you can call me a "Sporty Mom". DON'T LET THIS FOOL YOU.. I'M SO MUCH FUN AND OUTGOING.
I'm fun, exciting, outgoing and love to do almost anything under the sun or moon. I'm adventurous and just want to keep a smile on my face. I love to meet people from all walks of life. I want to learn languages, cultures and new things. I can be a great student. And I make a great grilled hamburger and spaghetti. I'll cook for you if you want.
I'm crazy in a funny kind a way. I laugh and smile alot, a bit talkative at times. I think it's because as a child and being the baby of 4, I never got my share of attention. Ask my siblings, they would beg to differ.
I can be very quiet alot also. Some would think somethings wrong, but I can go into deep thought as well. I looking to get into meditation, yoga and the like.
I love to dance, a mild drinker - a few beers, wines and liquours (Bailey's, Irish Cream, etc.)
I've served 6 years in the US Navy in Aviation Administration and Maintenance and have traveled all over, Hong Kong, Japan, Phillipines, Hawaii, Diego Garcia, Guam and can't wait to do it again. Oh yea, I have a passport also, but need more stamps.
Live life to the fullest and dance like nobody's watching.
You only have One Life To Live....Make it count.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Dec 2010 Hosted in the following cities:
Update: New places, Mexico, Nassau, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic.
I've hosted one person from Russia/NY, and surfed in AL (2), Bahamas, TN, NY, Nawlins, AZ and many other places.. This is a great experience.
I've hosted and surfed and have had great experiencesthus far. I'm looking forward to doing this many more times.
I've found that some CS city hosts are more apt to host once you attend a meetup or gathering to be "checked" out first before hosting. This may be due to the large number of request a host receives. Nonetheless, if you have the time to, attending a gathering can be so fun.

Travel to the Philippines at the age of 18, newly in the military and experience a whole new world. I'm grateful for the experience. Life lessons learned.
Driven across the US, California to North Carolina at age 20 with my new born son with only a Thomas Guide.
10/10 Travel to Dominican Republic alone with no true itineary and met wonderful people in Puerta Plata and stayed in an 102 y/o historic bar/hotel and a flying cockroach jumped in my hair in my bedroom.
08/10 Took my 2nd Amtrak train ride around the eastern and mid-west of USA and was amazed by the small towns and great people.
04/10 Went to El Morro Fort in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico on the ocean banks and Fort San Cristobal on the inner part of Old San Juan and was amazed at the silent voices I could here from the battles that took place when I went into the dungeon.
