Hi! I'm Alyssa. Washington DC was most recently home, where I worked for international humanitarian organizations for nearly seven years. I quit my job during COVID to go to Israel and pursue a spiritual path. Now I’m back in the US, figuring out “what’s next” (…hopefully back to Israel). For now, I’m traveling out west, camping, and visiting some bucket-list national parks 🙂🏕️

After dreaming of being a foreign correspondent, studying journalism and international studies, plus a few stints in Africa during college, I shipped off to Nicaragua for 2+ years to serve in the Peace Corps. Spent time backpacking and Couchsurfing in Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Israel, the West Bank. Nothing but positive experiences with Couchsurfing 🙃
